Take the time to find out what people really want, need, or desire. Do not pitch them on your new found money maker or new deal. Instead, see what they want and then bring it full circle. If you build trust and respect the right way you will have product users and business clients for life.

The first thing you need to do is find your target market or niche market. What is it that you are trying to sell? The problem with direct selling is that you need to know what your prospect or client want. Once you find out what the people have a burning desire to buy then you turn around a sell them that product.

Next, you want to give your prospects something of value for free. Give them a reason to buy from you. Tell them what they stand to lose by doing business elsewhere. You must catch your audience's attention with a powerful headline. Folks this requires you to know your product so make sure that you have done your homework. Show people that you are a credible person from day one.

After you capture your target audience you will need to learn about the different personality types you are dealing with. Not only will this help you with your prospects, but, it will help you with your personal relationships as well. Find out what type of person you are dealing with and then appeal to their better nature. This will help you distinguish how you will have to help them and show you who is interested and who needs more time to think about it.

Follow up is very important in the MLM or network marketing industry. If you honestly believe that you will sponsor 95 percent of your downline by never picking up the phone and talking to someone, folks you are only fooling yourself here. For example, you go to weekly meetings whether on the phone, at a physical location, or online conference through the web.

If there was not a need to talk to people then you or anyone else would not be at these meetings. I hope that what I am saying to you is starting to sink in. Another great example is the company conferences. Do you honestly think they do these for group participation? These conferences are done to keep people focused and motivated.

Motivation will keep your people active and participating. It will give them the fuel needed to drive the vehicle called life. You couldn't drive your car without gas could you? Of course you cant, that is why people invented gas stations so we could purchase gas. Is the light bulb starting to turn on in your head? I hope it does so that you see the bigger picture.

Educating people in your company or any company for that matter is the key to branding yourself in this industry. Once people feel that you know what you are talking about they will start to come to you for help. So get educated on what MLM or network marketing really is and what it isn't. I can tell you this for sure; MLM is not a numbers game.

You should not try to recruit every person you come into contact with. If you do, people will brand you as a glorified salesman. Build your relationships upon a healthy and helpful foundation. Find something that you have in common with them or give them a genuine compliment. The proof is in the pudding folks.
